The Montana Shooting Sports Association urges all firearm owners to be safe and adept with their firearms. This suggests education, which requires training.
MSSA has assembled a list of active Montana firearms instructors below. MSSA does NOT validate or recommend these or any particular instructors. We only pass along reports from people in our orbit that the listed instructors are providing classes in their communities, for the disciplines listed.
We urge all new or newish gun owners to contact an instructor and take a class, or two. Money spent on good training is as important as money spent on guns and ammo. As is said in the comparison, owning a guitar doesn’t make someone a musician.
